Katherine officially has two teeth and is doing something that most people would consider to be crawling. She gets up on all fours, rocks back and forth, straightens her legs and goes on to her hands and toes, then back down to her knees and moves her knees forward towards her hands, then collapses. It's quite exhausting!
Virginia Anne is doing everything she can to encourage her and just loves being the big sister. She is also loving being three years old now and will frequently tell us that "I did that a very long time ago.....when I was three." Or sometimes she'll say, "Mommy, I liked that when I was little. When I was three." It's pretty darn cute.
Allen is in the thick of campaign season and has been traveling to Jackson, MS, and to Colorado this week along with normal travels to conferences and to DC when he can. Flat Creek merged with Meadowbrook Strategies in March and the new structure is challenging and benefiting Allen in all sorts of new ways.
Melanie is keeping busy managing the house and is excited for summer. Virginia Anne wraps up her first year of preschool next week and Melanie can't wait for lazier days and more time at home to play and learn.
